Join this free networking event to come together and inform the approach to digital inclusion for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Will Plant, Digital Inclusion Lead for the Connecting Cambridgeshire digital connectivity programme will run this networking event as a guest host.

Connecting Cambridgeshire, hosted by Cambridgeshire County Council, is led by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority and is driving improvements to Cambridgeshire’s digital connectivity infrastructure - for fibre broadband, mobile and public access Wifi coverage - to drive economic growth, help our businesses and communities to thrive and make it easier to access public services.

Will is the lead on the Digital Inclusion work within the Connecting Cambridgeshire programme. Building on the great work already delivered by the programme, Will is looking to develop a digital inclusion strategy and delivery programme that will enable all communities access to, and use of, digital and technology to realise benefits in their daily lives.

The event will be an opportunity for organisations across Cambridgeshire to share their local circumstance and issues surrounding digital and technology, so that Connecting Cambridgeshire can seek to provide more effective, local digital inclusion support for businesses and residents, in partnership with local organisations and groups.

This event will also be an opportunity to hear about the initial report on digital inclusion in Cambridgeshire that Will has been working on, to give feedback to improve the findings and recommendations, that will help develop a County Council digital inclusion strategy and delivery programme.

Who is this event for?

This event is for any charity, community group, business or individual in Cambridgeshire with an interest in digital exclusion. You might support people who struggle to get online or run initiatives to tackle digital exclusion.

All are welcome but please come ready to share ideas and to discuss the topic.
