Join this interactive innovation sharing & discussion session looking at the DLUHC-sponsored Low Code Waste Services project

The Low Code Waste Services project is one of nine council-led digital projects that were awarded funding through Round 5 of the Local Digital Fund to explore how modern development platforms can enable councils to design and build different types of front-facing services by themselves.This 90-minute interactive session will allow attendees to hear from the main stakeholders in the project about the journey of the project, from November 2021 when it successful in being awarded its 1st round of funding up to the present day.This project sought to develop a flexible digital waste service that integrates front-end resident user requests with back-office delivery functions.The team has now completed its private beta phase, which delivered functionality for finding collect dates, booking a bulky waste collection, reporting a missed collection and sharing service disruption notifications. Due to time and funding constraints, a number of services were not delivered however it is the intention of the project team to deliver the outstanding requirements as part of their second beta phase. Hear from: <ul><li>Lisa Trickey, Head of Digital Strategy &amp; Design, Dorset CC</li><li>Mike Connell, Chief Digital Officer, Rugby BC</li><li>Gavin Beckett, Chief Product Officer, Placecube</li><li>Neil Lawrence, Product Owner, Placecube</li></ul>The outputs thus far from the Project will also be shared with attendees which include:<ul><li>Connectors for a number of different waste management systems, including WebAspx and Echo</li><li>Connectors for a number of payment systems which include Capita Pay 360, Civica and GOV.UK Pay</li><li>Easily configurable low code forms to meet the specific delivery needs of local services, as well as current waste management system requirements.</li></ul>There will be plenty of opportunity &amp; time to ask questions and discuss the opportunities that a common platform approach might bring to Waste Services and other service areas
