Welcome to the 70th Anniversary 1 Day AA Convention, Sunday 31st May 2026

Come and join us at Cheltenham Ladies' College for a day of fellowship, inspirational shares, workshops, meditation and a rare opportunity to experience the striking atmoshere of the 19th century Princess Hall for the main meetings! Enjoy the beautiful grounds during the breaks and Regency Cheltenham for lunch.

We are commemorating 70 years since the first AA convention was held in England at the Bellevue Hotel in Cheltenham, May 1956, when there were just 56 AA groups in England.

This event is a great opportunity to get together, you can have a day out with your home group, recovery friends, sponsor and sponcees or just bring yourself along to experience AA unity.

Please note, lunch is not included in the ticket price, however two tea/coffee breaks are.

Registration opens at 9.30am with the first meeting commencing at 10am and the countdown finishes at 5pm

You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch to enjoy on the premises and further details will be available of Cheltenham's eateries nearby.

Unfortunately parking is not available on site, on sundays, you can use the park and ride car parks and catch the local buses for the 10 min journey . Arle court park and ride GL51 6SY or Cheltenham racecourse park and ride GL50 4SH. Further details and town car parks will be added closer to the event.
