Language - Chinese with English consecutive interpretingJoin us as we delve into the minds of best-selling Chinese authors Liu Zhenyun and Liang Hong and explore their latest publications! We are delighted to welcome best-selling authors Liang Hong and Liu Zhenyun all the way from China to Oxford for this very exciting event! Join Angus Phillips as he discusses with the authors, their experiences writing, creating and publishing their works in both Chinese and English.Held in collaboration with Oxford International Centre for Publishing and Confucius Institute at Oxford Brookes University. About the Speakers Liu Zhenyun is an author of novels, short stories and screenplays. His honours and awards are numerous, including the Mao Dun Literature Prize and France’s Knight of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.Liang Hong is an award-winning writer, essayist and professor. She is known for her trailblazing focus on rural people’s stories.Professor Angus Phillips is Director of the Oxford International Centre for Publishing. He has degrees from Oxford and Warwick universities, and before joining Oxford Brookes he ran a trade and reference list at Oxford University Press. He works as a consultant to the publishing industry and is often invited to speak at international conferences and events.
