Come and learn about the values and practices that underpinned the way that we did the work in the Active Communities programme.

<h3>In this interactive day workshop we will explore the values, practices and behaviours that contribute to effective engagement and behaviour change in communities. We will consider how these values and practices, if delivered regularly in our work, can form the foundations of new ways of engaging with and organising on an individual, community and systemic level, delivering new outcomes for communities in need.</h3> How did we ensure that the work that was done was done differently and delivered positive outcomes for communities? What values did the work need to embody in order to make a difference? Practice with us, some of the techniques.In particular we will explore the following ideas:<ul><li>What was the aim of the Active Communities programme</li><li>What are the values that underpin the work such as: Open mind, Open heart, Open willl; Distributive leadership; Co-creation and collaboration; Empathy and courage; Being in service</li></ul><ul><li>How have these values been turned into behaviours in the work</li><li>What are the practices that have demonstrated change in the programme: Time to Think; Deep democracy; Theory U; Systems leadership</li></ul>You will leave with a clearer understanding of the original aim of the programme and also the values and behaviours adopted by Active Communities programme, with actionable ideas to take place into the systems you are a part of.You will have explored some of the values needed within an innovation programme.You will consider how you can start to adopt and embody the new values in your work, and how you can benefit from the learning of this programme in your innovation work. Please arrive by 09:00 for a 09:30 start. Lunch will be provided by The Big Feed, with refreshments available throughout.This event is funded by Active Communities as part of its Learning Festival.
