About this eventPopulation and migration statistics underpin decisions and policies right across our society and economy at national and local levels and for different communities. They are crucial in determining things like the amount of housing we need, numbers of education places, monitoring equalities, understanding the labour market, delivering public health services, and informing investment decisions for transport, retail and other infrastructure. It is therefore vital they keep up with society’s changing needs.On 29 June 2023, we launched <a href="https://consultations.ons.gov.uk/ons/futureofpopulationandmigrationstatistics/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">our consultation on the future of population statistics</a>, to collect views from the public and users on our proposals for a transformed population and migration statistics system. Understanding your user needs will provide essential evidence in making our recommendations to Government on the future of population statistics and the census.If you have missed any of the previous webinars on the consultation, this webinar is an opportunity to learn more about the proposals before the consultation closes on 26 October 2023. Attendees of previous webinars are more than welcome to attend but should be aware that the content will be the same.Let us know in advance of any access requirements.
