Who will be there?

We will have a range of lawyers of different PQE and disciplines.  Once you have booked your ticket we will ask you some questions about what areas you might be interested in.  If we get feedback from you about your interests then we will ensure that we have the relevant lawyers at the event.

Question 2

Do I have to attend for the whole four hours?

Accepted Answer

No.  This is a drop-in session.  You can attend at any time and we will be available to talk to you and answer your questions.  You can attend for as long as you like.  There are no set presentations and there is no fixed timetable for the event.  We will be available for the whole four hours.

Question 3

Can I attend in person?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  We are also running this drop-in session as a live event at Reading Town Hall.  If you are in the Reading area and want to attend, you can find details of the event on Eventbrite.  We will have people to talk to and  we will also have some light refreshments if you want to come in person.

Question 4

Will you maintain my confidentiality?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  We understand that if you are seeking to move jobs this can be a sensitive issue.  We can't guarantee that you won't meet other people in the event that you know.  You will be coming into an online space with other people, so we can't guarantee your anonymity.

Question 5

Is this event useful for me as a trainee?

Accepted Answer

This event is geared towards qualified lawyers who may be interested in moving from a different sector into local government.  Whilst it may have some interest for potential trainees into local government, we will be running a specific event later in the year for this.
