<h1>K﻿uKu Annual Birthday Reception</h1><p>The Co-Founders of KuKu Connect and Rekom request the pleasure of your company for the KuKu Annual Birthday Reception to celebrate businesses, the Armed Forces and community organisations in the Midlands to be held at Pryzm, Nottingham on Thursday, 16th November  at 7 for 8 o&#x27;clock in the presence of His Majesty’s Lieutenancy and High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire.   </p><h2>One of the most important business events of the year</h2><p>The KuKu Annual Birthday Reception takes place each year, where we mark KuKu Connect’s birthday by celebrating businesses, the Armed Forces and community organisations in the Midlands. KuKu is 7 years old and the annual reception will take place in Nottinghamshire for the first time, in the city centre.</p><p>Representing His Majesty The King and the Nottinghamshire Lieutenancy will be Mark Goldby, DL who is the county lead on one of the world’s most prestigious business awards, The Kings Awards for Enterprise.</p><p>This special Royal representative will also be joined by Hon. Air Commodore, Professor Veronica Pickering, MBS, DL, the High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire, who is The King’s Judicial representative in relation to Law and Order. Our special guests will be joined by an array of dignitaries and leaders from across the region, giving businesses the opportunity to make valuable connections during the reception.</p><p>The annual reception is one of the highlights of the business year where we celebrate over a full evening of business connecting, entertainment, hospitality, fabulous prizes, special guests and a few surprises too. The reception is a totally not-for-profit event and is free and open to any business/organisation to attend. Organisations of all sizes and sectors attend, along with inspirational leaders, entrepreneurs, public influencers, military leaders and an array of special guests and dignitaries, so a great big networking event unlike any other.</p><p>Although the evening sounds very formal, like KuKu Connect the evening is informal, fun and very welcoming to all, so we encourage you to stay for the duration of the evening to make valuable new connections from across the region (and do stay for dancing later in the evening, with special-guest DJs until late).</p><p>As part of the evening there will be a special Laser Tag experienceand a VR simulation from Altered Reality Zone, including the ‘Lancaster Bomber’ experience.</p><p>We shall also be joined by up and coming fashion house, Ammagi and designer Annemai Magi who will be showcasing some of her debut collection, fresh from Liverpool Fashion Week, along with Rebecca Couture Millinery who will dazzle the evening with their collection of hats and fascinators, as seen in Tatler society magazine and featured in ‘Gok Wan One Size Fits All’.</p><p>With some fantastic hospitality from our host, PRYZM, a cheese tower from the finest delicatessen in the region, Delilah, cakes and sweet treats from Cass Bakes, the KuKu Annual Birthday Reception will be a wonderful evening of business connecting with more exciting surprises to reveal, so this really is a business opportunity you cannot afford to miss.</p><h2>R.S.V.P.</h2><p>To attend, please complete a booking on Eventbrite by Friday, 10th November. What was formerly the Palais and Ritzy has its own Nottinghamshire history and heritage and for many people a place where their grandparents and great-grandparents will have gone dancing. </p><p>PRYZM in Nottingham is a multi-room operation, offering unique, scalable and tailored day time or evening events. With a capacity of 2,465, split across 6 themed rooms, perfect for your next event, whether intimate or super-sized. Nottingham Train Station is a short taxi journey to the venue, or 10-15 minute walk to both PRYZM and the Hilton Hotel. Both PRYZM and the Hilton Hotel are accessible for guests with any mobility requirements.</p><h2>Dress:</h2><p>The reception is celebratory, and we encourage you to dress to the nines, so think long gowns, glamor and sophisticated dinner suits and bow ties, but don’t worry if you don’t own a dinner suit, you can either hire, treat yourself to something new, or please feel welcome to attend in a suit or jacket and trousers. </p><p>National dress for those who wish to dress to represent the country of their birth or heritage and Mess Dress for members of the Armed Forces community. Decorations, means you should wear honours, medals, Civic insignia and Chains of Office. We know this sounds formal, but don’t worry the evening has an air of informality and is fun, so simply dress up and join us for this fabulous occasion, you’ll have business FOMO if you don’t come!</p><h2>KuKu Connect’s Co-Founders </h2><p><strong>Stephen Goddard </strong>and <strong>Philip Brooks-Stephenson</strong> are the co-founders of KuKu Connect which began at a pilot project in Leicester in 2016. Stephen and Philip wanted to change the landscape of business networking, offering organisations something more appealing, friendly and fun, but equally business-effective, just without all the boring elements. </p><p>At the first annual reception in 2017 KuKu was in demand all over the region and has since grown all over the East Midlands with its monthly in-person ‘Connect Receptions’, taking place in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, hosted by changing venues and businesses.
