A﻿BOUT THE WORKSHOPH﻿ow often do you take time to think about and celebrate your achievements? All too often our progress is swept under the carpet and we lose sight of our creative selves. This roundtable discussion will bring those moments of pride back into focus and will be a chance to reflect, share and be inspired by moments of pride contained in your own archive.Participants are invited to bring something with them to illustrate or symbolise an a achievement or special moment in time. This could be something you have made, a photograph , a song, a piece of writing or an object that means something to you.T﻿his is an opportunity to lift each other up and celebrate the special moments contained in our own archives.

A﻿BOUT ADETOROKnown locally as MamaToro, Adetoro is a Nigerian born British citizen with over 30 years’ experience in developing Cultural Heritage, Artistic, Global Development Education and Community Development practices in the UK and across Europe. As a cultural scientist, heritage artist, global development educationist, African women social historian, and as a Yoruba traditional textiles design creator and illustrator, she produces and presents her work at both grassroots and sector level. A﻿detoro has provided countless opportunities for women to gain confidence, find their voice and make a difference through cultural exchange, arts activity and training.<a href="https://www.instagram.com/ellebrotherhood/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>

A﻿BOUT WOMEN + ARCHIVESThis event is part of the Women + Archives' Untold Stories workshop series, developed specially for Town of Culture.Women + Archives is a working group of people working across a range of creative practices at Manchester Metropolitan University and Greater Manchester Museums.
