Roxanne is the founder ofThe Hobbs Consultancy, which was born out of a sense that corporations must be able to do more to support women through key transitions in the workplace.  Working at Managing Partner level in the media industry, she saw for herself the challenges that women face – specifically in the step up in to leadership and also through maternity.Roxanne is a Daring Way™ and Dare to Lead Facilitator™– having travelled to Texas in 2014 to be trained by the Daring Way™ team.  She facilitates 2 day intensives designed to support individuals in showing up and being truly seen in the workplace.

We all hold our own unconscious biases. It is nothing to be ashamed of, rather a product of the culture in which we have grown up, – to stereotype is to be human. The thing is to be making the unconscious conscious, and so this workshop will explore the concept of unconscious biases and encourage you to look at where your own biases lie.    
We believe we are stepping away from the legal framework and the social responsibility phase in to a phase characterised by a deep understanding of how D&I is business critical. 
In the morning session, we introduce participants to the concept of unconscious bias and take the Harvard implicit bias test.  We think this needs skillfully debriefing to avoid any shame or guilt. Instead, we emphasise how we all have a bias and look constructively towards ways of overcoming bias together; before working together to design behavioural change that will make a difference in your organisation. This isn’t about big, sweeping gestures from the top, it’s about ensuring everyone takes action to move the dial. 
Inclusive leadership is critical to supporting all talent to flourish and progress within the business, and the afternoon workshop will explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, fear and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and inclusive workplaces, and transform the way we lead
This workshop is for HR, recruitment teams and line managers of small companies and charities, with a maximum of 16 places. We’ll send you a questionnaire after signing up to debrief on any known D&I challenge your workplace presents in order to tailor the content to attendees.
