TheLondon Nordic Choir(LNC) is an independent chamber choir, particularly noted for their vibrant performances of a cappella choral music.Founded in 2016 byCarina Einarson, Musical Director, the ensemble's repertoire ranges from the medieval works of Hildegard of Bingen, to distinguished living composers such as Arvo Pärt, Eric Whitacre, and Ola Gjeilo.With performances in prominent venues including St John’s Smith Square, York Minster, and Southbank, the choir is celebrated for its lyrical interpretations and dynamic tone.

Join us for an intimate winter evening to celebrate a traditional Scandinavian Sankta Lucia on Wed 6th December at St John's Wood church.

Celebrate a traditional Sankta Lucia Cloaked by the darkest of midwinter nights, London Nordic Choir presents our popular, candlelit a cappella Lucia &amp; Christmas concert with a traditional shimmering Luciatåg-procession. A repertoire of familiar lyrical folk tunes, alongside vivid carols in less well-known arrangements, the musical journey will feature songs such as Betlehems stjärna, Julsång, Silent Night and Gabriel’s Message. Program The evening will be centred around the unique Nordic midwinter celebration with its fabulous fusion of paganism, history &amp; Christianity. Under the baton of Carina Einarson, this will be a glimmering revel in yuletide spirit with music from Scandiland, the British Isles and mainland Europe. Time Wednesday, 6th December Doors open at 6.30 pm Concert starts at 7 pm Glögg &amp; ginger breads will be served after the concert, included in the ticket price. The tickets for this concert are only refundable in the event that the concert is cancelled. Proceeds go to running the choir – helping us to continue the rehearsals/concerts and bring vocal music to the community. 🎵
