What is Spot the Signs and Save a Life?We are a suicide prevention campaign, helping to remove the stigma of talking openly about suicide. We provide training courses and signpost to mental health services available in Hertfordshire.Our ambition of zero suicides in Hertfordshire is consistent with the national suicide prevention strategy for England. We also aim to improve support for those bereaved or affected by suicide. We aim to:Increase public awareness of depression and suicide and remove the stigma linked with suicideProvide suicide prevention training to GPs, healthcare providers and the voluntary sector in HertfordshireWork with companies to create safer workplacesSignpost to mental health services available in HertfordshireLet’s all work together to prevent suicideOur vision is to make Hertfordshire a county where no one ever gets to a point where they feel suicide is their only option.Let’s all help to prevent suicide.Click here to take the Positive Action Pledge.

Training for primary care, health & social care and front line workers in emergency situations on issues  of suicide drug & alcohol misuse.

Welwyn Garden City Golf Club

<p>This training addresses the underlying issues related to suicide  and drug &amp; alcohol misuse. It identifies the risk factors and educates on the links between these areas to address holistically, situations where they co-exist.  Attendees will explore how to use open and empathetic conversations with individuals in these circumstances.  Frontline staff will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed to both identify as well as respond to individuals in crisis.</p>
