ESCP Business School was founded in 1819. The School has chosen to teach responsible leadership, open to the world and based on European multiculturalism. To honour Jean-Baptiste Say, one of the founders of ESCP and the person who coined the term 'entrepreneur', we are delighted to celebrate the 15th edition of the Jean-Baptiste Say Entrepreneurship Festival.The theme for this year's 'Finding Value Through Entreprenurship'.Hosted by <a href="https://escp.eu/ivanova-stela" title="https://escp.eu/ivanova-stela" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Prof. Stela Ivanova</a>, the vision of the event is to unite students, alumni, entrepreneurs, investors and potential customers to exchange ideas and learn from each other. This event is run as part of ESCP's top-ranked <a href="http://escp.eu/mim" title="http://escp.eu/mim" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Master in Management</a> programme, currently placed 4th worldwide by the Financial Times. Five of our six European campuses are running local Entrepreneurship Festivals throughout November, just another example of ESCP's pan-European spirit.This event is supported by the <a href="https://www.blue-factory.eu/" title="https://www.blue-factory.eu/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ESCP Blue Factory</a>, the <a href="https://www.sayinstitute.eu/" title="https://www.sayinstitute.eu/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">JBS Institute</a> and the <a href="https://www.escpalumni.org/" title="https://www.escpalumni.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Alumni Association</a>. The Blue Factory is our European incubator that supports founders - students and graduates - from ideation to their company's international development. The 2023 Winter Entrepreneurship Festival will represent the ongoing effort of the London community of this great project.The Jean-Baptiste Say Institute for Entrepreneurship relies on a unique European network, which was developed in 2007 by the Entrepreneurship Chair of ESCP Business School. Today, this institute has more than 50 researchers and teachers. Its main activities are teaching, supporting start-ups with Blue Factory, a European incubator, and entrepreneurship research.This event is open to all. Across the world, he has had multiple regional and global roles with a common thread of transformation and growth. His ecosystem of partners, stakeholders and clients have been financial institutions, governments, multi-lateral agencies, large private sector corporates (both publicly listed and privately held) and family-owned multi-generation businesses. He then left the industry and set up purpose driven <a href="https://www.finvelo.com/" title="https://www.finvelo.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FinVelo Ltd</a> in London.Advisor, mentor, coach: Tarek was trained by and worked with <a href="https://asianleadership.com/" title="https://asianleadership.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Asian Leadership Institute</a>. Tarek enjoys coaching CEOs and Managing Directors of International firms that have an impact on thousands of families. At the same time, Tarek became a Trustee at <a href="https://www.astriid.org/" title="https://www.astriid.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Astriid</a>, an amazing, young, UK registered Charity that bridges the gap between businesses and talented professionals who have long-term health conditions.He was also an advisor, mentor, NED and investor in a Tech start-up in the UK, while he mentored several founders of tech start-ups in the UK for over five years. In addition, for a short period of time he mentored Emerging Leaders with <a href="http://ivyhouse.co.uk/" title="http://ivyhouse.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ivy House</a>. Tarek was at NED for 5 years on the Group board of a privately held, multi geography, multi-industry group with a 200 year history, before being invited to be Group CEO.
