Clean Air Fund and CSTEP will co-host a multi-stakeholder panel discussion at COP28 to launch our new policy brief, 'The case for action on black carbon: Avoiding climate tipping points, building resilience and delivering clean air'.Black carbon sits uniquely at the centre of the climate and health crises. Reducing black carbon emissions is critically important for fast climate mitigation and building resilience to the effects of climate change. Solutions do exist to cut black carbon emissions, which can drive better health and environmental justice outcomes, with near-immediate benefits. Yet there is little action on black carbon as it remains largely absent from the mainstream climate and health agendas. This represents a huge, missed opportunity for mitigating near-term warming and avoiding climate tipping points.Join Clean Air Fund and CSTEP, in partnership with the International Cryosphere Climate Initiative (ICCI), to hear from a cross section of stakeholders on the need for action on Black Carbon now.
