Do I need to be a member of the union to attend?

You do not need to be a member. Anyone is welcome to attend our AGM!

Question 2

Can I sign up to be a member at the event?

Accepted Answer

You can sign up to be a member at the event. We will have application forms for you to fill out. It is easier to sign up online though by going to www.bectu.org.uk/join

Question 3

I'm interested in joining the committee but not sure yet, will I find out more at the AGM?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and find out more about what being a committee member means. There is absolutely no pressure to become one. If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can always trial it before fully committing.

Question 4

Can I bring along friends?

Of course! The more the merrier. It would be very handy if they can get a free ticket so we can know numbers but understand things happen last minute. Please feel free to bring who you like.
