We’ve been working with Lavender Menace to bring you our December documentary: The Archivettes, about the Lesbian Herstory Archives. Founded in the 1970s in a New York City apartment, The Lesbian Herstory Archives is now the world’s largest collection of materials by and about lesbians. For more than 40 years, the all-volunteer organization has striven to combat lesbian invisibility by literally rescuing history from the trash. You know how passionate we are about queer film archives and we’ll have folks from Lavender Menace to discuss why it’s necessary for us to preserve and look at the stories from those who came before us.Film with English subtitles.Your donations help us with film rights and screening fees. However don't hesitate to get a free ticket if you can't afford a donation!
