The University Graduate School is dedicated to supporting University of Birmingham’s postgraduate researcher (PGR) community. Fostering cross-college, interdisciplinary communities and acting as a gateway to support and advice. We work closely with the other University support services to ensure our postgraduate researchers have access to a high quality experience.

We offer a variety of academic, social and wellbeing activities throughout the year. Join us at the Arts Room Ground-Floor PGR Common Room for a free lunch.</h3><p><br></p><h3>Times are getting tougher recently and many of us are cutting back on treats but we don't want you to miss out on opportunities to take breaks from work with friends. So come along for lunch on us!</h3><p><br></p><h3>We'll have a few different cold food options to suits a range of dietary requirements, alongside hot drinks. Please note that food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a chance to spend some time away from your desk, save some money and chat to new people all at the same time.</h3><p><br></p><h3>The Lunch Club is very informal, with no networking/chatting required but we hope you'll take the opportunity to engage with other PGRs.</h3><p><br></p><h3>If you can, bring a mug for your hot drink and save us from using disposable cups.</h3><h3><br></h3><h3>On Thursday 14 March, it's <a href="https://www.unimentalhealthday.co.uk/" title="https://www.unimentalhealthday.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">University Mental Health Day</a> - join us for a relaxing break from work, a hot drink, and time just for you.</h3><h3><br></h3><p><strong><strong>This event is open only to University of Birmingham postgraduate researchers (PGR )</strong></strong>.</p><p>PGR programmes include: MPhil, MMus, MRes, MA by Research, MSc by Research, MLitt, PhD, PhD with integrated study, EngD, DDS, MD, Higher doctorates and Professional doctorates.</p><p>Registration will close 15 mins before the event start time or when tickets are sold out. We will be checking attendees against the Eventbrite registration and you may not be able to access brunch items if we have met capacity and you are not on the list.
