Forum for Race Equality in Social Care and Health

We are an independent, user-led organisation with 24 years of experiences in connecting patients, service users, carers and the public with service redesign. We are rooted in the community with a proven track record of working in an innovative way with communities by ensuring they are at the centre of all the work we do. This enables us to understand what the real issues are, the barriers and the solutions for people to live better lives in Leeds. We work with all communities but have expertise in vulnerable groups.

A vibrant Forum working in partnership with Leeds City Council, NHS West Yorkshire ICB and the Third Sector.

BAME Health and Wellbeing Hub

<p>This feeds into the Better Lives Board (Adults and Health) and various networks in the community. The members have been instrumental in guiding the Local Authority and partners in areas like Windrush, the BME Your Health, Your Say Conference, prescription medicine management for NHS England, BME Day Services Redesign, Healthwatch Leeds, NHS CCGs. The members are seen as “Involvement Ready” and can provide a critical friend in Leeds.</p>
