We support the amazing things that LGBTQ+ people aged 16-30 and those who support them can achieve when they are empowered to succeed without the fear of discrimination.  It's our vision that, together, we’ll create environments where LGBTQ+ young adults can succeed in all aspects of their social and professional lives.

New House Art Space & Gallery

Join us for another free to attend LGBTQ+arts and heritage workshop. Each event is completely free to attend and includes all of the resources and knowledge! The event is open to LGBTQ+ people aged from16 years old and above. This month we'll be joined by Sophie Kathleen (They/Them) an Illustrator and Artist currently based in Surrey, UK. Their vibrant and often political work focuses on their passion for LGBTQ+ empowerment, feminism and tackling taboos. They have a Diploma in Art and Design from the University of Creative Arts and believe in using art as activism. Soph aims to build community, promote equality and inspire others.This workshop is an opportunity for you to learn more about the LGBTQ+ history of protest &amp; create artwork to be featured in an exhibition at the New House Gallery!This event is completely free to attend but does include an optional donation to support Blossom LGBT CIC's work in providing social spaces,mentoring&amp; life skill classes to LGBTQ+ young adults. If you do choose to donate EventBrite automatically adds a small processing fee - We're sorry about this.In previous workshops, we've focused on different media such as a making collages and painting! We'll explore a brand new art style in this coming up event which will be announced closer to the time.Art is considered to be a leading form of mindfulness and is a great way to improve your general wellbeing. We combine this fantastic skill with LGBTQ+ identities to provide a safe space to allow you to explore and express your identity in a supportive environment. Accessibility - The workshop will be held in the gallery on the ground floor. The venue has one step from the main entrance to the foyer and gallery spaces, a ramp is available. An accessible toilet is located in the foyer to the left-hand side of the main entrance, no RADAR lock is required. The doors are not automated but front-of-house staff can assist if needed. Blossom LGBT CIC - BlossomLGBT works with LGBTQIA+ young adults from the ages of 16 to 30 across the UK. Our goal is to support the amazing things that LGBTQIA+ people can achieve when they are empowered to succeed without the fears of discrimination. Blossom also offers a number of professional services such as consultancy and training to busineeses whilst also offering free workshops, social spaces, and mentoring. Blossom LGBT CIC is a trans-led organisation. We are proud to encourage trans+ people, Black, Indigenous and People of Colour to attend our event. We believe exploring LGBTQ+ identities should be open to all. Discrimination in any way will never be tolerated at our events. You should be aware, and make it clear to your parents, this event is open to all ages. We will need your parent to drop you off at the venue and must sign a consent form before leaving.We are proud to offer this event to all regardless of ability or access needs.
