We welcome award-winning poets Kim Moore and Polly Atkin to Zoom for our monthly reading series.

Please email sarahjohnson@serenbooks.com to sign up in advance. Readers are asked to stick to one A4 page of poetry or prose so that we have time to get though everyone.Tickets are £2 plus Eventbrite admin fee.Please note: Ticket sales for this event will close at 7:00pm GMT on the 1st February, after which all attendees will receive an email from Eventbrite containing the meeting link. About the AuthorsKim Moore’s pamphlet If We Could Speak Like Wolves was a winner in the 2011 Poetry Business Pamphlet Competition. Her first collection The Art of Falling (Seren 2015) won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize. Her second collection All The Men I Never Married (Seren, 2021) won the 2022 Forward Prize for Best Collection. Her first non-fiction book What The Trumpet Taught Me was published by Smith/Doorstop in May 2022. A hybrid book of lyric essays and poetry Are You Judging Me Yet? Poetry and Everyday Sexism was published by Seren in March 2023. She is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.Polly Atkin lives in Cumbria. Her first poetry collection Basic Nest Architecture appeared in 2017 and was longlisted for the Michael Murphy Memorial Prize. Her second collection Much With Body (2021) was a Poetry Book Society Choice and was longlisted for the Laurel Prize. She is also the author of a number of pamphlets including Shadow Dispatches (Seren) which won the Mslexia Poetry Pamphlet prize and a biography Recovering Dorothy: The Hidden Life of Dorothy Wordsworth (Saraband, 2021). Her memoir Some of Us Just Fall was published by Hachette in 2023.
