7th ENCATC Working Group on Evaluation

ENCATC is the European network on cultural management and policy. It is an independent membership organisation gathering over 100 higher education institutions and cultural organisations in over 40 countries. ENCATC was founded in 1992 to represent, advocate and promote cultural management and cultural policy education, professionalise the cultural sector to make it sustainable, and to create a platform of discussion and exchange at the European and international level.

<H2>HURRY UP, PLACES ARE LIMITED!</H2>
 
This ENCATC Working Group on Evaluation on 15 March 2019 in Maastricht will bring together academics, researchers, consultants, European networks funded by the Creative Europe programme and project leaders. It will build on the progress achieved from previous meetings in Brussels, Potsdam, Manchester, and Antwerp.
The selected topic of this first 2019 Working Group on Evaluation will focus on “evaluation methodologies to assess the impact of Arts Fair at local level and beyond”. This meeting will be taking place at the occasion of The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) and will be a preparatory work to the ENCATC seminar that will be held in March 2020.
 
Participants
Representatives from Arts Fairs in Europe and beyond (e.g. staff in charge of the evaluation and/or collection of data); Representatives from cities or touristic offices in charge of the collection of data and/or evaluation; academics, researchers. Members of the ENCATC working group on evaluation and EU officials. 
 
Description
The main goal of this activity is twofold:
1) To exchange among the participants on existing evaluation methodologies used by Arts fairs, cities and regions to better understand the impact at city level of the Art fairs in their own territories. Exchange among the participants on profiling, satisfaction survey, qualitative approaches currently used by the Arts fairs and the evaluators appointed by cities and regions and better understand the audience of the Arts fairs. 
2) To prepare together with the participants of the meeting the draft agenda of the Conference that will be organized in the framework of the ENCATC Evaluation group in Maastricht next March 2020.

NOTE: Travel, accommodation and subsistence are at participants' expenses.
/!\ The Working Group meeting (13:30-16:00) is free to attend. IMPORTANT!!!: However, any parts of the full programme that includes entering the "TEFAF preview day", access is only possible for those who have paid. TEFAF is offering a SPECIAL REDUCED RATE of 60 euro (instead of the 135 full price). There is no option, only to attend TEFAF during the day (at the rate of normal days, which are opened to the public from the 16/03/2019).
