Step back into the bold and colourful world of the 1980s as our combined Millfield Orchestras join together as one sypmhonic sound for an uplifting night of iconic 80s classics. With stand-out vocalists, exciting bespoke arrangements by Royal College of Music Professor of Jazz, Mark Armstrong, and by our very own Head of Composition, Dr Martin Humphries, the concert captures the sparkle, rhythm and unmistakable sound of the decade.

You’ll hear 20 classic hits reimagined through the power of a symphony orchestra and professional rock band, including music made famous by Queen, Madonna and Geoge Michael. Expect fresh takes on favourites such as I Want to Break Free, Material Girl and Careless Whisper —alongside many other unforgettable 80s anthems brought to life with rich strings, glowing brass, vibrant winds and a driving rhythm section.
