Who leads the evening?

Hester Wylde (they/them) has been teaching meditation and Buddhism for 20 years and regularly lead week-long meditation retreats at Dhanakosa having taught there for the past 10 years.    They love leading people to a deeper relationship with their bodies, breath and helping find inner peace.

Question 2

Do I need to bring my own cushions?

Accepted Answer

No.  There are chairs to use if you don't have cushions.  Its perfectly fine to meditate on a chair!  There are also yoga mats if you need to, or prefer to, lie on the floor.

Question 3

Do I need to have meditated before?

Accepted Answer

No, you are welcome to come if you are new to meditation as the practices are led through.  Generally we start with a short check in, then sit for about 1/2  hour at the beginning, and then there is a break for a cup of tea, and then we end with a shorter meditation.
