<p>François Truffaut’s first feature film from 1959, Les Quatre Cent Coups (to live a wild life) is the semi-autobiographical story of a neglected young boy in Paris who rebels against the rules at home and school in search of his freedom and creativity. An ode to Paris and to the awakening of a new vision of cinema, La Nouvelle Vague, Truffaut’s masterpiece celebrates the tenderness and rebellion of coming of age.</p>
