An information evening for the 4-Peaks Challenge 2024

The 4 Peaks challenge is a great opportunity to conquer the highest peaks in the UK, get some adventure and see some of the best parts of the country. It’s also a proper challenge! There are 4 mountains to climb in 3 days, not much sleep and lots of hours in a mini-bus that will steadily become more odorous over the trip! On the plus side it will be an experience you will be talking about for years to come! You can do the challenge to raise some money for a charity or simply do it for the craic!This challenge is open to anyone aged 18-81 years but will best suit those who have done a bit of walking before. In terms of fitness if you are able to climb Slieve Donard steadily without lots of long stops then you are probably fit enough for this.We will organise travel, accommodation and guides but you will be responsible for your own food, insurance and care. Cost looks to be in the region of £275 for the trip.The dates for the challenge are Thursday evening 20th June to Sunday later afternoon 23rd June 2024.To give you a rough idea of the itinery we will leave Thursday evening 20th June @ 7:30pm from Belfast, sail to Scotland, overnight in Glasgow before an early start to drive up to Fortwilliam and climb Ben Nevis. Then a long drive to the Lake District to overnight before a very early start on Saturday morning to climb Scafell Pike. Then another drive to Wales and a climb up Snowdon on the Saturday as well. We have our third and last overnight at the Youth Hostel at the bottom of Snowdon before a morning ferry to Dublin on the Sunday.
