Delivered by Dr Balraj MaviDr Balraj Mavi is a GP with a special interest in cardiometabolic medicine, working across 3 practices in the Black Country and Birmingham ICBs. He is the principal GP at Wordsley Green Surgery.During his training, he gained an appreciation of population health and the impact of chronic disease. This led to him studying at Warwick University towards a Diploma in Diabetes.He since has been appointed West Birmingham Diabetes Lead since 2021 and assists surgeries with population care and diabetes.Within his roles, he has championed new models of care and supported PCNs with various projects.Dr Mavi has further taken an honorary role as a clinical tutor for medical students at the University of Birmingham.Content to include:<ul><li>To discuss the role of LDL in primary care</li><li>To discuss NHS lipid guidelines</li><li>To discuss primary care lipid medication</li><li>Case studies and practicalities in consultation with patients</li><li>QOF</li></ul> This meeting is sponsored by Daiichi SankyoThey will have a 5-minute promotions presentation slot at the start of the meeting as part of the agenda - they have had no involvement with the course content
