In the second of our <a href="https://tripodtraining.org/what-we-do/programmes/ofp/" title="https://tripodtraining.org/what-we-do/programmes/ofp/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">movement-building gatherings in Glasgow</a> this year, we’ll be exploring what it takes to collaborate more effectively across our groups and movements. We all have a hunch about how our struggles are interconnected at the root - whether it’s migrant, racial, disability or climate justice, LGBTQ+ or worker rights, anti-poverty, prison or Palestine solidarity organising… We also know that most of our wins in the past have been made possible because folks came together across differences of identity, politics and experiences. Many of us are already actively part of networks, coalitions and collectives. Yet, we all know that collaboration isn’t always easy.On Sunday afternoon the 7th of April, we invite organisers from different groups and movements in Scotland to explore what it takes to build effective alliances and where we can find common ground. We’ll learn from each other as well as from movement history, and we’ll develop practical skills to bridge our differences. There’ll also be plenty of time to connect with other organisers over delicious food, and we’ll be screening Ken Loach’s latest film,<a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt19883634/" title="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt19883634/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> The Old Oak</a>, to wind down in the evening (TBC).

This event will build on the 'Gathering for the Migrant Justice Movement' that we hosted in Glasgow on the 3rd of March but is open to anyone.
