Are you looking for new volunteers to support your Norfolk charity, community group or social enterprise?

Celebrate the Big Help Out 2024 and help potential volunteers understand your organisation's mission and how they can "give it a go". With a focus on volunteer voices & activities for the public to get involved with, this is not just a volunteering fair but an Extravaganza!

We're looking for local voluntary organisations to share what they do through interactive stalls or "activity spaces", plus short volunteer talks in our Voice of Volunteers space. Book here to reserve your space & let us know if you have activity ideas in mind! Some examples include:

knitting, sewing or mending
arts & crafts
composting or garden activities
lego, puzzles or games

We understand that not all organisations will be able to demonstrate activities that their volunteers undertake - for example befriending, sports or health & social care roles. We encourage these organisations to "think outside the box" and offer an activity that will help people engage with them & which might spark conversations about their role.

For organisations who sign up, we'll be hosting an informal meeting on 17th April (online) to discuss activity ideas with us, so don't worry if you're currently unsure what you could offer.

We're also aware that some organisations, particularly smaller ones, may not have the resources to have a stand/space for the whole day. We are therefore curating a "Chatty Zone" where organisations can run engaging simple activities and chat to visitors in an informal way about their mission and volunteer opportunities. If you're interested in dropping into this space rather than having your own stall, please get in touch on communities@voluntarynorfolk.org.uk . This space will also be available for stall-holders to drop into throughout the day.

This event is subsidised by the Empowering Communities partnership. There is a small charge for the stalls as a contribution towards promotional costs for the event, and to ensure attendance. Give It a Go! Volunteering Extravaganza at the Forum, Norwich
