We will look at the work of the great Northern Renaissance artists, such as Jan van Eyck, Dirk Bouts, Robert Campin &amp; Rogier van der Weyden

The National Gallery

Although intended as a 'follow up' to my earlier tours of the National Gallery, this visit, moving 'upstairs' and also North (from Italy, at least), will stand alone - as, of course, they all do. As ever, we will look in detail at as many works as we have time for - but taking the opportunity to look properly, without rushing past anything, all of this being dependent on the availability of paintings and space!The session will last 90 minutes, and will be limited to 11 people to allow for discussion, comment and conversation - and a reasonable view of what are relatively small paintings. We will look at as a many as possible from Jan van Eyck, Dirk Bouts, Robert Campin, Rogier van der Weyden and Hans Memlinc - and possibly more (though, if you know me, you'll know that's more than enough!)I will contact you nearer the time to set a time and a place to meet - so if you don't hear anything, please contact me. This tour is not organised by the National Gallery, and sadly noone there will know who or where I am!
