Ground Nest Fest is a week-long festival taking place in and around Settle, North Yorkshire, celebrating our ground nesting birds and their habitats

Create a scene for this year's stop motion animation (last year's animation, Curlew, is <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcqnROLcfMc&t=5s" title="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcqnROLcfMc&t=5s" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">available online</a>) in this short workshop.Sessions are suitable for everyone aged 10 to 100! Numbers are limited to five people per session and children must be accompanied at all times. Sessions are equally perfect for a family or a group of adults.Finn is a filmmaker based in the North of England. An environmental campaigner, their films tend to focus on themes of climate, land and social justice. With over ten years’ experience, they possess whole-process expertise in writing, filming and editing. Their work has screened on broadcast and at festivals around the world, been nominated for awards and reached audiences of millions. What to expectForty minutes of intensive stop-motion animation, suitable for ages 10+. You will need to be able to focus for the whole session. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.What to bring/wearNo materials are needed – come as you are!ParkingThere is limited parking at St John’s. The nearest car park is Whitefriars Car Park. St John’s is a five minute walk from Settle Marketplace and a fifteen minute walk from Settle Station.Toilets and cateringThere are toilets on site at St Johns’s, including an accessible toilet and baby change. Tea, coffee, water will be available, for donations to St John’s. Volunteers will be happy to heat milk or baby food for you on request.AccessSt John’s is fully wheelchair accessible throughout and there is an accessible toilet.
