Ground Nest Fest is a week-long festival taking place in and around Settle, North Yorkshire, celebrating our ground nesting birds and their habitats

Sing, clap and make some noise for ground nesting birds!In this 30 minute session for children up to 5, you'll learn a short song inspired by our ground nesting birds and enjoy singing it in the round, along with imitating bird sounds, wtih Sally-Anen Brown of <a href="https://www.noteweavers.org/" title="https://www.noteweavers.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Note Weavers</a>.Because of the age range these sessions are aimed at, we expect each booked child will have a parent or care with them. There is no need to book an extra ticket for an accompanying adult.-What to expectA 30-minute singing/ noisemaking session, sitting on chairs or the floor.What to bring/wearNo materials are needed – come as you are!ParkingThere is limited parking at St John’s. The nearest car park is Whitefriars Car Park. St John’s is a five minute walk from Settle Marketplace and a fifteen minute walk from Settle Station.Toilets and cateringThere are toilets on site at St Johns’s, including an accessible toilet and baby change. Tea, coffee, water will be available, for donations to St John’s. Volunteers will be happy to heat milk or baby food for you on request.AccessSt John’s is fully wheelchair accessible throughout and there is an accessible toilet. Disabled parking is available immediately beside the church.This event is part of Ground Nest Fest, a week-long festival celebrating ground-nesting birds and their habitats, held in partnership between The Folly, <a href="https://www.wildingleborough.com/" title="https://www.wildingleborough.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Wild Ingleborough</a> and <a href="https://www.yppartnership.org.uk/" title="https://www.yppartnership.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Yorkshire Peat Partnership.</a> It is generously funded by <a href="https://royalsociety.org/grants/places-of-science/" title="https://royalsociety.org/grants/places-of-science/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Royal Society</a>.
