Soak is thrilled to announce the return of our exhilarating World Record attempt Charity Fundraiser, in collaboration with the RNLI, Above water, and Rowcroft. Join us for the third year running as we aim to break records and make waves for water safety awareness.Our mission remains unchanged: to gather 1000 paddle boarders for the largest guided coastal tour globally, all while championing SUP safety, supporting the amazing work of our chosen charities, and fostering a deep connection to our coastal environments.Last year, we soared to 696 participants, but this year, we're setting our sights on the grand milestone of 1000! Together, we can achieve this ambitious goal.Tickets are available for just £15, with all profit proceeds generously donated to the chosen charities. Choose from three designated locations across The English Riviera to embark on this unforgettable journey.So, how does The Great Big Paddle Parade work, and how can you get involved?Imagine a spectacular guided coastal tour led by Soak's top SUP instructors. Select your starting point based on your paddling ability and embark on a mesmerizing journey along the breathtaking world heritage coastline of the English Riviera.Guided by our experienced instructors, groups will paddle to the tranquil bay of Fishcombe Cove for the official adjudication and a memorable aerial photo opportunity. Then, journey back to your starting point for a full day of adventure on the water.With paddle distances ranging from 6km to 20km round trip, there's an option for paddlers of all fitness levels to join us on this extraordinary event. Elite paddlers will depart from Abbey Sands beach, while experienced and novice paddlers will set off from Goodrington Beach and Broadsands Beach respectively.👀 UPDATED Locations &amp; Launch Times for SundayAbbey Sands: 09.30am on the water - approx 10km each way | 5.5 hours Goodrington Beach: 11am on the water - approx 3.5km each way | 3.5 hours Broadsands Beach: 11:30pm on the water - approx 3km each way | 2.5 hoursFor clarity and safety reasons, paddlers are encouraged to choose a location within their capabilities. Safety, parking logistics, and personal experience are paramount considerations.Joining Requirements:Participants should feel confident in their ability to kneel paddle comfortably for the duration of the guided tour. Additionally, familiarity with choppy sea conditions and winds up to 15mph is advised.If you're uncertain about your capabilities, we recommend seeking proper instruction before the event. Soak, located on Abbey Sands Beach, offers half-price lessons to all ticket holders.Safety First:This event serves as a crucial platform to raise awareness about drowning prevention, particularly in the SUP community. While safety discussions may not always be the most exciting, they are undeniably vital.All participants are instructed to wear an appropriate personal floatation device (PFD) or life jacket throughout the duration of the activity. It is also compulsary to wear a leash (waist or ankle). Your adherence to these safety measures not only exemplifies your commitment to the cause but also sets a powerful example for others.
