In this code-a-long, you and your learners will make a character that reacts to what you say. If you compliment it, it will look happy. If you insult it, it will look sad. At first, you’ll program a list of rules for what is kind and what is mean, and learn why that approach isn’t very good. Next, you will train an artificial intelligence model to recognise kind messages and mean messages by giving it examples of each.

Target Audience - Please be aware that the target audience for this event is for professionals within the Education Sector in Scotland and to register for the event please enter either a school/establishment/local authority or Glow email address. If you work in Scottish education and would like to attend, but do not have a glow or work email address please email esevents@educationscotland.gov.scot with the name of your setting or service, to request a place. Please remember that for security purposes it is very important that you do not share event information with anyone else to provide them access to this event.Joining Instructions - Please note joining instructions for this event will be sent out 48 hours before the event, each attendee is advised to double check they received a confirmation email from Eventbrite via the email address they entered as this may result in not receiving these instructions and could obstruct you from attending the event. We would recommend you to contact us should you not receive joining instructions by 1 hour before then event time. We would advise you to check your junk files for emails about the event.Request for advance information - If you have specific accessibility requirements, for example, if you need slides or more information to be sent to you in advance, or need breaks at specific intervals, we would welcome more information about this in advance. Whilst it is your choice to disclose this information, or not, doing so will enable us to better understand your needs and plan how to best support your engagement. Our aim is to make appropriate adjustments to our programme delivery to ensure the best possible experience for our delegates.
