Empower Africans to Thrive THE YOUTH EDITION ARTS CULTURE & HERITAGE

“Go Africa” is a movement to mobilise the African & Caribbean creative communities in Islington to come together as one, as a craft market, to promote talent, art, culture, and education. The marketplace is where local people can buy original and firsthand art, ethical handicrafts and participate in interactive workshops including book reading by African authors to support young adults and children.Go Africa’s main purpose is to improve the Islington African Diaspora communities and neighbours understanding of each other’s cultures and is a movement to mobilise the Islington African Diaspora creative communities in particular the Islington South area to collaborate and showcase positive skills, talent, art, cuisine, literature and African World music.  We inspire pride and community visibility for the Islington African Diasporas to integrate with the wider borough, to prevent isolation and loneliness, especially for some of our service users who have a conscious displacement within a foreign country.

The Go Africa Community Hub are so excited to explore that cultural richness in Finsbury Park and open up a dialogue with the youth 30 yrs old and under and see what magic we can make together! Please join us on that journey by attending this event and discuss with our team of industry experts, health and creative practitioners, how we can support you, whilst enjoying a few hands on creative workshops. Master Drummer Alex Dayo will be hosting a drumming circle session for self expression and those that love the beat of the drum to beat away your blues or just have a good jamming session. The drumming school based in Finsbury park has a great following and is often hired for team building tackling social issues.
