Gardening to Feel Great

We are an educational and horticultural charity based in East Malling/Ditton, Kent, providing field sessions (growing and outdoor classroom) for schools and groups on our 2.4-acre field for the local community.We are focused on reconnecting people to freshly grown food, the outdoor environment it comes from and the soil it grows in. We want to teach people from all walks of life about how to grow their own food and reconnect with nature. Learning, teaching, caring and sharing are the core aspects of the Communigrow project. We care about ethical food production, land and nature conservation and personal and collective well-being.

Would you like to meet people, learn something new, be more active, get in touch with nature and improve your wellbeing?Come &amp; join our Gardening to Feel Great Group (10.30am - 12.30pm)We offer activities suitable for all abilities based on the benefits of gardening and connecting with nature. This is a free outdoor activity open to people over 55 and younger people with health conditions.Good to know:<ul><li>Please arrive at 10:20am so the session can start at 10:30am.</li><li>F eel free to bring along a packed lunch to enjoy with us after the session.</li><li>Booking is essential.</li><li>These sessions are part of a wider initiative to help people to improve their wellbeing by spending time in nature with the local community. To get involved participants must complete a wellbeing form at the beginning and at the end of the course.</li><li>Compost toilet and hand washing facilities available on site.</li><li>Plants and vegetables will be available for sale (season dependent).</li><li>Free parking is available.</li><li>As the garden is a food growing area, pets are not allowed.</li></ul>COVID-19 Recommendations:• You are no longer legally required to self-isolate if you test positive for COVID-19. However, we advise people who test positive to stay at home and don't attend the event.If you have any questions please email us: wellbeing@communigrow.org.uk
