Melanie Russell is an artist based in SW London. She graduated with a Masters of Fine Art from The Slade School of Fine Art in 2004 and has been a practising studio artist since. Painting and drawing make up the main body of her work which sits between abstraction and representation.Look & Draw workshops are a fun, creative and relaxed environment to experiment with different materials and techniques. All abilities are welcome, even if you think you can't draw, Melanie will encourage you to find your own drawing style and language.Instagram @melaniejrussell

Draw, Print & Collage Workshops

Collaborative creative workshops with artists Melanie Russell and Justine formentelli that include elements of drawing, printing and/or collage. The workshops are fun and experimental,  encouraging participants to try out and play with various materials.

Join artists Justine Formentelli and Melanie Russell at The Woodfield Pavilion on Tooting Common for a fun and creative evening.At this event, you'll have the opportunity to learn the art of relief printmaking, a technique where the image is carved into a surface and then inked to transfer the image onto paper. It's a hands-on experience that allows you to create unique and beautiful prints.Participants will make 1or 2 foam tiles and experiment with repeat pattern and combining colours. We'll also have the option to use oil pastels to add detail and rework some of the prints produced.No prior experience is necessary, we will guide you through the process step by step. All materials and refreshments will be provided, so just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
