Calling all Londoners: take part in the world’s first Mend in Public Day for Fashion Revolution Week 2024!

Just because your favourite jumper has a ladder in it doesn’t mean it’s time to throw it away!In this Mend in Public Day workshop, learn how to use a latch tool to fix dreaded ladders, as well as how to stop a ladder in its tracks and prevent it from growing. You can either bring your own plain knit in to repair or practice on knitted squares which will be provided.We will be hosting drop-in sessions but encourage you to register for a free ticket to secure your place.About Joanna BrayHaving studied at Nottingham Trent on the Fashion Knitwear and Knitted Textiles course, Joanna gained lots of experience and industry knowledge from connections on the course. Now working as a freelance fashion designer specialising in knitwear and sock design, Joanna explores and thinks about how her designs and ideas can be more meaningful to increase longevity and wear of the garment. Joanna is part of the Loom collective, a service connecting you with designers to bring your ideas to life.Location: Islington Climate Centre, Angel Central, 21 Parkfield St, London N1 0PS
