I am the Charity Manger for The Juno Project. We empower girls who are vulnerable or at risk of being excluded from school and let them see their self worth. We teach them life skills to help them build healthy relationships, and teach them employability techniques.

I've survived abuse, a spell in a women's refuge, an attempt on my life, and a terrible marriage breakdown. I've had everything, and I've lost everything. And the most powerful lesson I learned was that despite my challenges, despite my hurt and anger, despite being on the floor; I could still be and do what I wanted to be and do - if I started to like myself.Too many of us set impossible targets, self-sabotage, and punish ourselves because we think we need to pay for something that happened a long time ago. A harsh word, a terrible experience. The key to my success was learning how to overcome this, and to create the life I truly wanted, by liking who I saw and heard.It led me to setting up The Juno Project, to creating the This Is Me programme, so that I could empower vulnerable teenage girls, the girl I was when I was growing up, to overcome the challenges they face and go on to achieve a happy, fulfilling life.Let me teach you how to do the same, by telling you my story, and sharing what I learnt.
