Friends of the River Crane Environment are a registered charity based in Twickenham, UK, whose aims are to protect and enhance the open spaces and environment around the River Crane.

Our Volunteer Sundays take place in the Lower Crane valley and we have a wide variety of activities to suit all in your local environment !

Crane Park Hanworth Road

The location of this Volunteer Sunday is at Little Park, meeting at the Hanworth Road entrance. The entrance to Little Park is on the north-west side of the Hanworth Road (A314) between the two branches of the River Crane, adjacent to the South West Middlesex (Hanworth) Crematorium.We always have plenty of jobs for all ages and skills such as : <ul><li>Completing in-river enhancements (weather permitting)</li><li>Early balsam bashing</li><li>Riverbank planting</li><li>Woodchipping paths</li><li>Litterpicking</li></ul>FORCE would greatly appreciate your help in maintaining this local environment for us all as there is always plenty to do. We have a restricted number of places so booking is essential.Everybody is welcome to join us. Kindly fill in our <a href="https://www.force.org.uk/forms/1-welfare-information/" title="https://www.force.org.uk/forms/1-welfare-information/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">welfare form</a> in advance. Due to <a href="https://www.force.org.uk/assets/documents/v-safeguarding-policy-2017" title="https://www.force.org.uk/assets/documents/v-safeguarding-policy-2017" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">safeguarding needs</a> all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We recommend you wear tough outdoor clothes and footwear with long trousers and a long sleeved top. If you can stay all day please bring along some lunch and something to drink. Or come along for an hour or two to see what we get up to !
