Why does Independent Living matter? Come along to hear about the history of Independent Living, learn about the challenges and help us consider whether, given the current state of social care, it’s time to call for a return of Centres of Independent Living, nationwide. CILs run by and for those with lived experience of social care. We are delighted to be joined at this event by Frances Hasler who is a former co-director of the National Centre for Independent Living. In addition to our main speaker, we will have a panel of people with Independent Living expertise who will answer your questions and help facilitate discussion. We hope you can join us.
