Animation and visual storytelling workshop for young people with internationally renowned artists Graham Bebbington and Glenn Marshall

Take advantage of this unique opportunity and join internationally renowned artists Graham Bebbington and Glenn Marshall for a day of visual storytelling and animation at Newport Museum and Art Gallery.10:30am - 12:30pm - in the morning session Graham will introduce participants to the animation process, from script through storyboard to layout. Graham will draw on examples from his own career as an animator which includes works on the special effects for the "Snowman", "Superted" and "Space Jam". Inspired by real-life examples he will guide participants to develop their own storyboard.1:30 pm - 3:30pm - cartoonist Glenn Marshall will help the group design their very own cartoon characters in the afternoon and bring the stories to life in front of camera and green screen (participants should avoid wearing green to ensure that they don't blend into the background).This is a full day workshop and suitable for ages 8 - 12yrs. Both sessions should be attended. Please note that adult supervision is required at all times. Light refreshments will be provided but participants are expected to arrange their own lunch. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.Places are limited. Please book one ticket per young person. Cancellations made 48hrs before the event will receive a full refund (excl Eventbrite fees). Cancellations made after this time will incure the full booking charge.
