T﻿he Rebuild Site takes surplus materials from construction sites and put them to good use.A﻿s part of our Communities Programme, we run a series of workshops, events and information sessions for the public. We cover areas such as sustainable skills, arts and crafts using recycled/ surplus materials and environmental focused activities.

<h4>Event Informaiton</h4>Upcycle old buttons, beads and bits of broken jewellery into a beautiful brooch.In this relaxed and creative session we'll explore different ways of working with buttons and beads to build up unique and beautiful embellished surfaces which we'll then turn into brooches.No experience required.Materials will be supplied, but if you have any old buttons / jewellery you want to use please bring them with you.This session will be delivered by Helen Walsh, Artist and Creative Practitioner from <a href="http://www.delicatestitches.co.uk/" title="http://www.delicatestitches.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Delicate Stitches</a>. This workshop is running as part of The Rebuild Site CIC Summer 2024 Events Programme. See our website for more information. <h4>Session Information</h4><ul><li>This workshop is suitable for those aged 16+. Those under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.</li><li>Unless otherwise specified, all materials will be provided by us.</li><li>Refreshments such as tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.</li><li>Due to the content of some of our activities, you will be required to undertake a Health and Safety briefing before the start of the session. You may be required to wear PPE, such as face shields and gloves. These will be provided by us.</li><li>Please wear weather and activity appropriate clothing and footwear when visiting us.</li></ul> <h4>Accessibility</h4>If you have any accessibility requirements, please get in touch with us before the event.We are close to the number 62 bus route which runs from Carlisle City Centre.
