Understanding safeguarding and what this means in practice

This is training designed to be convenient for you and to help make you feel more confident in your work.Most family lawyers and mediators are aware of the need to be alert to potential abuse that is taking place or is taking place in their client&#x27;s lives. But do you understand the full extent of potential issues that could flag up during a first or subsequent meetings with client(s)? Are you aware of the professional obligations on you relating to safeguarding? How does this fit with client confidentiality and data protection?Many professionals struggle with asking questions sensitively around these subjects. Our training simply didn&#x27;t cover such eventualities. But with more and more issues impacting on children and young people we as practitioners need to know how to check properly for potential safeguarding issues.This webinar will cover a full safeguarding ovevriew and highlight issues practitioners should be alive to. It will also give practical guidance on asking questions sensitively and in a way that can still build rapport with your clients.
