A light hearted and fun competition for the canine residents of Chilham Parish forming part of our 3  villages  fete

Chilham Castle

As part of Chilham's three villages fete on 13th July 2024 there will be a novelty dog show in the grounds of Chilham Castle. The proceeds raised from this will go to supporting the Willow Foundation which supports young adults with serious life threatening or life limiting conditions.<a href="https://www.willowfoundation.org.uk" title="https://www.willowfoundation.org.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.willowfoundation.org.uk</a>There are seven classes and the winning dog from each class will receive free entry into the final Best in Show round (a dog may be entered into multiple classes). <ol><li>Waggiest tail</li><li>The dog that looks most like its owner</li><li>Fastest sausage eater</li><li>Golden oldie - over 8 years of age</li><li>Dog the judge would most like to take home</li><li>Most handsome dog</li><li>Prettiest bitch</li><li>Best in show</li></ol><a href="https://chilhamparishcouncil.gov.uk/event/summer-fete-chilham-village-square/" title="https://chilhamparishcouncil.gov.uk/event/summer-fete-chilham-village-square/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Click here for information about the Three Villages Fete</a> Terms and conditions for entry<ul><li>All entries must be pre-booked on line through Eventbrite - by booking, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions</li><li>Participants enter at their own risk</li><li>Dogs must be kept on leads at all times</li><li>Handlers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult</li><li>Dogs must be over 6 months of age, free from illness or injury and not pregnant, nursing or in oestrus (heat)</li><li>Please clean up after your dog - waste bags and bins will be provided</li><li>Dogs should be immunised and be treated appropriately for common parasites (your veterinary surgeon can advise on this)</li><li>The organisers and judges reserve the right to exclude dogs and handlers at their discretion</li><li>Banned dog breeds may not be entered</li></ul>
