We're celebrating 16 years of the Centre for Journalism and we'd love you to join us in central London - venue tbc.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese

VENUE UPDATE: The evening drinks will be at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Fleet Street - one of journalism's most famous locations. Head for the Cheshire Bar downstairs. We'll be there from 7pm. For those who would like an al fresco earlier start, we will also be gathering from 4pm (weather permitting) in Green Park for a BYO picnic. Look for us near the Green Park tube end of the park. We'll start heading from there to the Cheshire Cheese at 6.30pm. Look out for weather updates on the morning of the 13th - here and on Twitter. Sixteen years. Millions of shorthand outlines. Thousands of vox pops. Hundreds of brilliant careers launched in many different industries.The Centre for Journalism era is coming to an end, so we are planning a gathering of staff, students and friends to celebrate its many successes.Suprisingly (!), there is no university budget for such a gathering, so this will be an informal event. The staff team plan to get together in a central London location and raise a glass or two to the past and the future.But in order to work out the best place to meet, we'd like to get some idea of numbers - so please sign up as soon as possible to enable us to find a venue of roughly the right size.It will be a great chance to get your year-group gangs back together, to catch up with old friends, meet some new ones, and berate members of staff for that assignment mark that you're still convinced should have been higher.Whatever you're up to now, and whether you are/were a BA, MA, Year in Journalism, Year in TV or L7 journalism apprentice we'd really love to see you. The same goes to KMTV staff past and present.Better halves/partners all welcome.Ian and the CfJ team
