This 3 hour CPD session and resource pack offers a series of practical strategies to move students higher in th literature GCSE mark scheme.

<p>In this session we will spend time looking at each of the 3 core assessment objectives for English literature (across all exam boards, and many of the ideas will be  applicable to English Language specification too) and consider practical ways to improve students' responses with a focus on each of the assessment objectives. This will include: </p><ul><li>developing student' ideas, including personal and perceptive responses</li><li>building students' ability to select and explore valuable quotations</li><li>expanding students' analysis, with a focus on meaning and effect created</li><li>enhancing responses which consider the wider ideas and context of the text</li></ul><p>All resources and lessons discussed within the session will be included in a packed resource folder, with ideas and strategies that can be implemented in the classroom in the next day.</p>
