Marriott's Way Heritage Trail is a Heritage Lottery Funded project which aims tobetter research, conserve, interpret, and educate people about the railway heritage of the route, and the plants and wildlife that reclaimed it once the trains had stopped running.

Marriott's Way Heritage Trail

Hedgerows are such an important part of the habitats and conservation work along Marriott’s Way. 
Come along Whitwell & Reepham Station and plant a sapling by the location of historic M&GN railway station.
Go on a hunt for signs of spring along Marriott’s Way or take the 3mile circular route linking Whitwell to Reepham. Remember to drop into the heritage centre and Sidings Bar for refreshments while you visit the station. 
 
The walking  and planting surface is accessible to most users by a bank; these areas are grassed and a little uneven. Please note that there are amenities and refreshments available at Whitwell & Reepham Station.
A FREE family friendly event with plenty of opportunity to get stuck in and have a discussion with our team. Children wishing to take part in planting should be accompanied by a parent or carer. We recommend that sensible footwear and comfortable clothing be worn.
