TheFriends of Jubilee Poolgroup are a band of passionate, diverse, driven and committed volunteers. By successfully fighting against the closure of Jubilee Pool and bringing it into community ownership, we aim to restore it as a hub for locals to continue swimming, gyming, meeting and socialising for future generations to come.Working together we will help Jubilee Pool survive, and thrive.

A 24 hour swimming relay over the weekend of 5 and 6 October 2024 to raise money to support Jubilee Pool in Knowle, South Bristol

<h3>Join our Jubilee-athon 2024</h3><p>Join us on our mission to collectively swim the distance from Jubilee Pool in Bristol to the Aquatics Centre in Paris, built for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Along the way we aim to raise £100,000 towards our roof repairs and energy efficiency measures to improve the pool and gym.</p><p><br></p><h3>Three simple steps</h3><ol><li>Buy your tickets here on Eventbrite</li><li>Set up your own fundraising page on Local Giving - see details below</li><li>Share your unique fundraising page link with friends, family and colleagues</li></ol><p><br></p><h3>Important</h3><ul><li>Entry only open to competent swimmers</li><li>Anyone under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder in the water</li><li>You won't have to pay your usual entry fee to the swimming pool</li><li>Suggested minimum fundraising target of £40 per person or £250 per team</li><li>Each ticket entitles you to one hour in the pool (please ensure you leave enough time to check-in and get changed ahead of your swim) and a certificate to prove you did it</li></ul><p><br></p><h3>Entry fees</h3><ul><li>Adult £10</li><li>Child (under 18) £5</li><li>Team (up to 6 people with a lane to enjoy to yourselves) £50</li></ul><p><br></p><h3>Get involved!</h3><p>Throw on your swimming costume, strap on your goggles and swim as an individual or gather friends, family and colleagues for a team effort.</p><p>Over 24 hours we'll try and swim continuously - with at least one person in the water at all times - further than the equivalent of swimming from Bristol to the Aquatics Centre in Paris.</p><p>We have split the 24 hours up into hour-long swims starting on the hour; each ticket is for a one-hour slot.
