Woodland Wonders forest school provide forest school programmes for schools and communities, holiday activities, birthday parties and parent and child groups in the Chichester, West Sussex area."Leave only footprints and take only memories"We have a passion, deep respect and life long love of the outdoors and the natural world around us and through our work at Woodland Wonders we aim to teach and nurture children and all those that use our forest school our ethos and their own deep and lifelong love of the outdoors and the natural world.Our forest school experiences aim to provide the stepping stones for children to release their potential and learn in a holistic and nurturing environment. Giving embedded learning opportunities through play in a beautiful woodland environment.

Beat the Boredom - Forest school for adventurous kids!Who are these sessions for: The sessions are drop off only and are for children aged 5 to 11yrs.Dates: Monday 29th July to Thurs 1st August, 9-1pmMonday 5th - Thursday 8th August, 9-1pmLocation: Parklands Community Primary School, ChichesterThe fun to be had:Join us for a fun packed Summer forest school session held at Parklands School onsite forest school area. With use of an indoor area if the weather turns wet where we will continue our fun with engaging age appropriate activities. With different activities throughout the week there is something new to do and learn everyday. Such as....<ul><li>Fire lighting skills</li><li>Woodworking and learn to use a variety of hand tools.</li><li>Snack cooking over the fire</li><li>Learn about healthy eating and help prepare the lunch cooked over the fire.</li><li>Team games</li><li>Discovery, Exploring and playing</li><li>Den and shelter building</li><li>And anything else we can think of!!!</li></ul>Children will have the opportunity to choose to join in the activities offered, play with new friends, explore, be active and learn new skills too.Price: £28.50 per child, includes a freshly prepares hot lunch cooked over the campfireHAF FSM Free sessions: Funded by the WSCC Holidays and Activities Grant there are a number of places available for eligible free school meal children to attend for free. These sessions are drop off only.What to bring and wear:<ul><li>A refillable water bottle</li><li>Appropriate outdoor clothes and footwear for the time of year and weather.</li><li>Wet weather clothes, trousers and coat</li><li>Wellies for muddy wet days (weather/season dependant)</li><li>Additional warm clothing (weather/season dependant)</li></ul>My child is entitled to a free space, how do I book these? All free HAF FSM free spaces are booked through the new WSCC online booking system. You will need your child's HAF FSM number to book any places. Please note you will need your child's name, DOB, school and postcode when contacting them or us to retrieve your HAF numberOur bad weather contingency plan: We will continue the session outside in most weathers and will put up temporary shelters when needed. For very bad weather we will have use of an indoor space within the school and will offer fun and engaging indoor activities.My child has a SEND need: We would be grateful if you can let us know any information that you feel necessary. This is so that we can support your child and offer them the most positive and enjoyable experience at the sessions. Unfortunately we cannot offer one to one support. Please contact us for further details if you would like to chat about this further.My child has food allergies: There is a section on the order form to complete with any food allergies. Paid for places will be offered a full refund.Paid for places: Unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund or transfer their places if your child is unable to attend.How is my information used? On the booking form you will need to agree for your details and all those who you have booked a free place for to be shared with WSCC Activities fund. They will only use this to record the success of the scheme and for their impact survey/funding data collection/success. Please note that WSCC will also use your data to check your eligibility to their funding criteria.GDPR policy: At time of booking we require some information about you and your child, for example allergies, alternative needs or special requirements, first aid, email and emergency contact phone number. This information is only kept for the duration of the course or event and your contact number will only be used by us in the event of an emergency arising with your child or if we need to contact attendees prior to the event to give extra information. If you consent for us to use your email to contact about future events, this will only be used by Woodland Wonders (we do not pass these details onto any other 3rd party) and will be used only to send details of other events run by Woodland Wonders that we think you may be interested in. If you consent for photos to be used, these will only be used for our Facebook page, website and promotional purposes only and are not passed onto anyone else.
