<h3>This three day course is uniquely co-designed and co-delivered by specialists from The National Organisation for FASD and Seashell’s Outreach Team.</h3><h3> </h3>This course is for practitioners working with young people with FASD. It introduces the Me and My FASD Toolkit – a range of practical, hands-on materials specially designed for those with FASD. The new <a href="http://www.fasd.me/" title="http://www.fasd.me/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.FASD.me</a> website is central to this.Practitioners who attend the 3-day training will receive our widely acclaimed toolkit (valued at £125) including: The Break it Down Board, Calming Cards, The Misunderstoods: Living FASD board game and other fidget items and materials. They also will have access to supplemental versions of the Me and My FASD Toolkit for direct use with children and young people with FASD. These materials have been called “a game changer.”Course content includes:<ul><li>FASD causes</li><li>FASD prevalence</li><li>Terminology</li><li>Signs and symptoms</li><li>How diagnosis is made</li></ul>Importantly this course goes where other courses do not, it provides hands-on tools and suggestions for how to use the newly created resources to work with young people with FASD to help them understand their diagnosis and how to learn FASD-informed coping strategies. This is an online course running on Zoom from 9.30 - 3.30 for 3 days Terms and conditions:The course will only take place if the minimum number of delegates (12) is met. The course can be postponed or rearranged to a date suitable for the National Organisation for FASD / Seashell if the training does not meet the minimum number of delegates (12) required. In the event that the training is cancelled by the organisers and you are unable to attend the alternative proposed date, you shall be entitled to a full refund minus Eventbrite’s fee which is nonrefundable.A decision will be made 05/11/2024 as to whether the minmum requirements have been met and the training can go ahead.In the event you wish to cancel, a refund of:100% (minus Eventbrite's fee) will be given if the cancellation is made more than 2 months prior to the training's start date.50% (minus Eventbrite's fee) will be given if the cancellation is made less than 2 months but more than 10 working days prior to the training's start date.No refund will be given if cancellations are made less than 10 working days prior to the training's start date.
